COURSES OF BOTANICAL AND NATURAL DRAWING AND WATERCOLOUR
As far as Botany is concerned, lessons  would be of basic and advanced knowledge, with a large choice of seasons and timetables.

Participants ( min 8 max 12 people ) can lodge in Villa La Trinità or nearby.

All courses can be held in English, French and Greek.

BASIC: Participants will learn how to layout a botanical drawing by: observing the various parts of the specimen to portrait; drawing the leafs, the flowers, the fruits in pencil and colour pencil ( sanguigna ); preparing the paper for the watercolour; exercising with the watercolours. Specimens would be collected in our Estate: there is plenty of wild and cultivated flowers in the garden and in the park to be used as subject material.

Whole week or week-end course for beginners ( week-end full immersion of 14 hours ).

ADVANCED: This is a more articulated course for students in agronomy, for foresters and for those who intend to illustrate the Flora from live specimens for scientific purposes. The approach is one of scientific accuracy and the subject material is portrayed in three different mediums: pencil, ink and watercolour. The specimen is observed in all its particulars through the binocular stereoscope and every detail is transferred on paper with proportional accuracy

A visit is planned to the University of Tuscia Botanical Garden, where the plants of the desert section are worth a drawing study.

This is a 6-day course for a total of 42 hours.

Coffee break snacks, basic material such as pencil, eraser, ink pen, layout paper block are included.

Use of binocular stereoscope will be provided. Watercolours and brushes should be provided by the participants.

Monthly opportunity of 1 week-end workshops for INTERMEDIATE levels.
